Business Development & Marketing Assistant (m/f/d)
100% Home Office in selcted countries in the EU. Regular F2F meetings in exciting EU locations. EU WORK PERMIT required.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Business Development & Marketing Assistant (m/f/d) to help build the top of the sales funnel and strengthen brand visibility.
ESQlabs is an innovative, internationally acting Contract Research Organization and a global leader in the development and application of the OSP Suite (www.open-systems-pharmacology.org). We are a research-focused provider of specialized computational analyses in the life sciences industry.
Role
This hybrid role combines pre-sales and marketing support responsibilities to help build the top of the sales funnel and strengthen brand visibility. You’ll identify and engage potential leads, support marketing campaigns, and assist with events and outreach activities.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Business Development Manager and the Marketing Specialist and scientific teams to ensure that messaging, outreach, and marketing efforts are aligned with ESQlabs’ goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Sales Support
- Define Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) for each campaign.
- Build and enrich qualified prospect lists.
- Launch personalized outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, etc.) using tools like Dripify, Close or MailChimp.
- Track engagement metrics and optimize campaign performance.
- Support the maintenance and update of the CRM with lead data, notes, and follow-up schedule
- Support benchmarking activities to identify new market opportunities
2. Event & Workshop Support
- Assist with conference organization, including logistics, materials, and satellite events (training sessions, workshops, etc).
- Research and prospect event attendees and speakers.
- Conduct timely outreach after satellite events (e.g., thank-you messages, surveys, or offers).
- Collaborate with scientists to gather content for conferences.
3. Marketing Coordination
- Collaborate with scientists to gather content for social media
- Assist with the execution of digital marketing campaigns – organic and paid (social media, email mkt).
- Familiarity with tools such as MailChimp, Google Analytics, and WordPress is nice to have.
- General understanding of paid campaigns on Google, SEO best practices, and LinkedIn advertising.
- Strong organizational skills, creativity, and a willingness to learn new tools.
- Help maintain a database of contacts, and collaborators for marketing.
4. Content & Communication
- Draft or adapt content for social media posts, newsletters, and promotional materials, while ensuring alignment with the company’s KV and brand guidelines.
- Ability to assist with social media content planning, calendar management, and performance reporting.
- Support the creation of marketing materials (brochures, banners, presentations, merchandise, etc.) using Canva, PowerPoint or other qualified tools.
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign/ Photoshop is nice to have, but not a requirement
5. Collaboration with the Business Development Manager and the Marketing Specialist•
- Work jointly to define tailored outreach campaign.
- Align messaging and value propositions with the broader business development and marketing strategy.
- Take part in regular planning sessions to synchronize on outreach priorities, and scientific themes (e.g., QSP, systems biology, NGRA).
- Share qualified leads after initial engagement, ensuring relevant context and lead information is documented and actionable.
- Collaborate on conference preparation.
- Work together to prioritize leads and coordinate effective follow-up strategies post-event.
Required skills & experience
- Have at least 1 year of experience in B2B lead generation, marketing, or outreach roles. (Must)
- Hold a degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field, or a business-related degree with experience in life sciences pharma, cosmetics, chemicals, or biotech sectors
- Are familiar with LinkedIn and email outreach tools.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.
